On the last weekend of October, Zouk Jena invites you to a two-part intensive workshop exploring two versatile aspects of playful, dynamic and grounded dancing: body isolations 💃 and counterbalance 🌪️.
ISOLATIONS on Saturday with Oleg & Franzi
Dive into fluid and accentuated movements such as waves and kicks, both alone and with a partner. Explore how combining upper and lower body isolations can highlight your own style and expression. With personalized feedback and mirror exercises, you’ll sharpen your body control and flexibility.
By the end of the first day, you will gain tools to make your dancing more playful and creative.
COUNTERBALANCE Sunday with Martin & Gianna
Unlock the beauty of counterbalance – one of the most powerful and expressive tools in partner dancing! In this intensive you’ll learn the fundamentals of shared axis turns, how to create stability in the counterbalance and how to build trust and clear communication with your partner.
We’ll guide you step by step so you can explore counterbalance with confidence, creativity and safety!
What you (don’t) need:
- You should be confident in Zouk basics, such as basic step, turns, viradinha, etc
- Please bring shoes in which you can turn easily 👟 (slippery sole is advisable)
- You don’t need to bring a dance partner 🕺
- Coffee ☕️ and some snacks 🍪 will be provided 🤩
- For lunch you can join an order with us (self-paid) or bring your own food 🍽️
Train in a small group with a maximum of 10 leaders & 10 followers for fast progress and focused feedback. Save your spot below!
